Description
We are looking for staff to fill posts in Lesmahagow, Kirkmuirhill, Carluke & Hamilton.
Duties
As a support worker you will continually assess the needs of our service users by communicating with them and their families and report any concerns to a Team Leader and or Care Coordinator.
• As a support worker you will be aware of any medical conditions documented within the care plans.
• As a support worker you will aid our service users with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, eating and drinking and general mobility in accordance with their care plans and in line with All New Beginnings Ltd Policies and Procedures alongside National Care Standards.
• As a support worker you will provide companionship to our service users, assist and participate in any activities including recreational, as agreed within the care plan.
• As a support worker you will provide information and support to the families of those within your care. Anything out with your knowledge base you will refer to your Line Manager as appropriate.
• As a support worker you will maintain appropriate record keeping in accordance with All New Beginnings Ltd Policies and Procedures.
• As a support worker you will be willing to participate in all training to further your own professional development.
Essential criteria
The right candidate will need to be:
An Empathic, Honest, Trustworthy and Reliable person who is able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. You will also have good problem solving abilities with effective communication skills.
• Have previous experience in a caring role such as - Support worker - Care home or Care at home
• A minimum SVQ Level 2 is desired although training will be offered to candidates willing to work towards this qualification.
• Be willing to undergo PVG Disclosure checks.
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to own transport.

Salary:
£9.40 per hour rising to £10.40 per hour on successful completion of a 3 month probationary period
